Refurbishment of old farmhouses in Tuscany

The project involves the internal and external renovation of five rural buildings in the “il Quinto” estate.
The design intent is to not completely distort the buildings but to intervene carefully, combining traditional materials with contemporary shapes and uses, in order to strongly link the construction with the territory and with the feeling of living in the countryside.
One of the major design challenges was to integrate a long series of elements recovered by the owners and integrate them with the interior design project, in order to further accentuate the authenticity of the buildings, making reuse a stylistic both construction and decorative feature
